Bye, bye, 2011!

Para despedir este año, os dejo con la ropa que me voy a poner para la cena de esta noche. Como esta semana he estado tan terriblemente enferma, ni escotes ni minifaldas: un look boyish calentito y cómodo, con zapato plano y pajarita incluida. Que una no está para muchos trotes, después de haber desperdiciado su semana de vacaciones en cama y con fiebre...

Espero que paséis una gran noche y que el 2012 os traiga aún más felicidad que el año que nos deja. Muchas gracias por compartir vuestro tiempo con Le Chic Room y darme el ánimo para seguir con vosotros incluso cuando todo nos supera. ¡Gracias por estar ahí!

As the last post of this year, I left you with tonight's outfit. As I've been sick as hell this week, I have to stay away of miniskirts and low necklines, so I've turned to a boyish look warm and comfy, bowtie included (because remember: bowties are cool!).

I hope you have a great night and an even greater 2012. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your time with Le Chic Room, and for giving me the strengh to go on even when I though I couldn't go on. Thank you for being there!

Call in sick

Me encuentro fatal, estoy pasando las vacaciones de Navidad (en las que yo pensaba hacer taaaaantas cosas...) en la cama, con fiebre. Así que lo único que puedo hacer es enseñaros estas deportivas tan chulas que me compré en Spartoo y estas gafas de sol "Lennon Extra Large!" que me trajo Papá Noel.

**Cough, cough!!** I'm awfully sick. I'm only good to curl up on the sofa and watch Revenge. The tonsilitis can only be cured with soup and soap operas. So here I left som pictures of my last New Balance sneakers and the round extra large sunglasses Santa brought me.

A veces nos emperramos en querer cosas que no podemos tener. Pues a mí ahora me ha dado por arrepentirme de no haber comprado este bolso de la colección de Bimba & Lola del pasado verano. Así que si sabéis de alguien interesado en venderlo, ¡decidle que contacte conmigo!

My man repellers!

Sé que ya todas conocéis el blog The Man Repeller. Yo lo conocí este verano y me alegró ver que alguien había puesto nombre a esas prendas que a nosotras nos gustan mucho pero a nuestros queridos chicos les parecen raras, incómodas o espantosas, directamente. Incluidos algunos zapatos espléndidos. Y la mayoría de las veces, de tacón.

I know all of you have already meet The Man Repeller blog. I met it this summer and made me very happy to see that someone has put a name to all of this pieces that we really like but the boys around us find weird, uncomfortable, o just plain horrible. Including some amazing shoes. Most of the times, heels.

Y cuando vi estos zapatos no pude evitar pensar que eran muy "man repellers", y lo confirmé cuando se los enseñé a mi querido Santo y me dijo que bueno, en fín, si a mí me gustaban... Así que aquí os lo presento, en todo su esplendor de tacón, deditos al aire, serpiente, ante, charol y borlas. Que no es poco.

So when I saw this shoes I couldn't help but think that they were very "man repeller". And I confirmed it with my beloved Saint when he told me that, well, yes, if I liked them... So here they are, with all the heel, the peep toe, the snake skin, suede, patent leather and tassels. Which is quite a lot.

She & Him

Por fín están aquí... Son tan bonitos que han merecido totalmente la pena la espera. Eso sí, el servicio de atención al cliente de The Cambridge Satchel Company es el peor que he visto en mi vida.

They're finally here... So beautiful they've made the wait totally worth. The only downside is that The Cambridge Satchel Company custommer service is hideous.

Sneakers

Por alguna razón, estoy pasando por una época en la que solo me apetece ponerme zapatillas. Me gustan los zapatos, y los tacones, pero para el día a día, me veo viviendo entre unas keds azules, unas reebok clásicas y unas de Blanco de leopardo que destrocé.

For some reason, I've been living on a sneaker basis lately. As much as I love heels and all kinds of shoes, on the lasts weeks I've been using a lot a pair of reeboks and a pair of keds.

Así que cuando me mandaron esta promoción de Spartoo (entrega gratuita y por un pedido de 100€ te mandan un vale de 20€!) me hizo pensar que quizá sería el momento de cambiar o de aumentar mis posibilidades: unas clásicas en blanco, las converse o unas onitsuka; unas más coloridas, como estas New Balance o las zapatillas de The Bride (la friki que hay en mí no puede resistirse al momento Kill Bill).

So when I received this c.ristmas offer from Spartoo (free delivery and a 20€ bonus for each 100€ shopping) I thought it was time to expand my possibilities. Maybe a pair of classic whites (Converse or Onitsuka), or a pair more colourful (New Balance or this Onitsuka "The Bride" sneakers, can't resist a bit of Tarantino).
