uterqüe lookbook

Aunque el tiempo se empeñe en llevarme la contraria, mi mente sigue fija en el verano. La primavera, al menos. Y pues claro, ver todos los lookbooks con estilismos ideales para el calor hace que me dé muchísima más rabia que en cuanto llega el fin de semana venga acompañado de frío, nubes y lluvia.

Even if the weather is decided to go against me, my mind is set in the summer. Spring, at least. And seeing all that lookbooks with super cute outfits for mild weather makes me rage when the weekend comes along with cold, clouds and rain.

De modo que si este fin de semana no podemos vestirnos con shorts, zuecos de tacón y camisas ligeras, por lo menos podemos soñar con ellas. Así que os dejo con estas imagenes para que podáis soñar con ellas también.

So if we can't dress with shorts, heeled clogs and light blouses, at least we can dream with them. So I leave you this images so you can dream with them too.

No sé si estilo de fotografía tiene un nombre determinado, perdonad mi ignoracia... Yo las llamo "fotos de esas que parecen que se ha caído pintura", un nombre muy técnico, como véis. El caso es que no es que tenga yo debilidad por Sara Fernández de Vogue, que además tengo la suerte de conocerla en persona y es guapísima, majísima y encantadorísima; pero es que es el segundo editorial suyo que saco en el blog. Es que me encanta, el estilo de esta chica.

Bueno que me enrollo, que el caso es que este mes al abrir el Vogue, ¡oh sorpresa! Un editorial que me encanta, y ¡oh sorpresa! Es de Sara. A disfrutarlo.

I don't know if this photo style has any name, forgive my ignorance... I called them "those-photos-which-look-like-some-paint-dropped-on-them" pictures, a very technical name, as you can see. The thing is, is not that Sara Fernandez is a soft spot for me, I also now her in person and she's gorgeus, super kind and super nice, but this is the second editorial of her in this blog. I love this girl's style!

All right, to wrap it up, the thing is this month I open the Vogue and, surprise! A lovely editorial and, surprise! It's from Sara. Enjoy.

Back to reality

¡Estoy aquí! ¡Ya he vuelto! Más de diez días lejos del blog, y de internet en general, y de la vida normal... Y no ha sido por que me haya ido de vacaciones, si no que, aprovechando los días libres, he estado de mudanza. Ya estoy en mi nueva casa, y aunque queden un millón de cosas por hacer este lunes hay que volver al trabajo. Así que inauguro la vuelta a la rutina con algunos looks para hacerlo por lo menos con un poco de alegría. ¿Y que os parece empezar el lunes con un estilo geek como el que nos presentó Dsquared2 el pasado verano? ¡A mí aún me chifla!

I'm here! I'm back! More than ten day away from the blog, internet at all, and from normal life whatsoever... Not because I've been on holidays, but beacause using all the free days I've move out. I'm already at my new house, and even if I have still a ton of things to do this monday we have to go back to work. So I inaugurate the come back to routine with some looks to do it with at least a little bit of joy. So what about to begin on monday with geek style as the one Dsquared2 showed us last summer? I still love it!

For tuesday, a pair of clogs with a navy touch. Even if it's cloudy, summer is around the corner! I've fallen for a pair like this from Unisa....

Un poco de color y un toque '70s nos ayudarán en el ecuador de la semana. La camisa de mariposas de Zara me parece ideal, y el pintauñas nude Rose Poudre de Maybelline mi última adquisición.

A little bit of color and a '70s touch will help us trough the middle of the week. The butterflies blouse from Zara it's lovely, and the nude nail polish Rose Poudre from Maybelline mi latest adquisition.

El jueves tengo el open day del showroom así que me pondré guapa con mis nuevos chinos naranjas (¡por fín tengo unos pantalones naranjas, yay!) y los combinaría con estos zapatos de Mango que traen loca desde hace tiempo.

On thursday I have the showroom's open day so I'll get dressed up with my new orange chinos (yay, orange pants at last!) and I'll wear them with these shoes from Mango who are driving me crazy for a time now.

Y para terminar la semana, uno de mis mix preferidos: militar+navy+lentejuelas. Un montón de accesorios ¡y estamos preparados para alargar la jornada tomando unas copas si el tiempo acompaña!

And for the end of the week, one of my favourite mix: army+navy+sequins. A lot of accesorizes and ¡we're ready to make it to drinks if the weather lets us!

Me encantan estas fotos de Isabeli Fontana para el número de abril de Vogue París. Fotografiada por David Simms, encarna a una cowgirl al más puro estilo True Grit. Por supuesto, las prendas son de colecciones actuales. Me maravilla lo que un buen estilista (en este caso, Emanuelle Alt) puede hacer con la ropa, como juegan y construyen lo que quieren en cada momento. Eso es un buen trabajo de estilismo, y no los editoriales de total looks, que cada vez me dejan más fría...

I'm completely smitten with these photos of Isabeli Fontana for april's issue of Vogue Paris. Photographed by David Simms, she becomes a cowgirl á la True Grit. Of course, all the clothes are from the current season; it's marvelous what a good stylist (Emanuelle Alt here) can do with clothes, how to play them and build whatever they need for a theme. That's a nice stylism workm and not plain total looks editorials...

Stripes, daffodils and messy hair

Un semana terrible, eso es lo que me ha apartado de vosotros todos estos días. Una mudanza (todavía no sé como hemos podido acumular tantos trastos) y que me hayan quitado una muela ha sido demasiado para mí y recién me estoy recuperando. El viernes por fín hago la mudanza final, hasta ahora solo ha sido la preparación, y además empiezo las vacaciones de Semana Santa. ¿Qué mas se puede pedir? Como no estoy para mucho pensar, os dejo tres de mis cosas favoritas: rayas, narcisos y pelos despeinados.

An awful week, that's what've kept me away from you all these days. A moving (I still don't understand how we can pile up so much junk) and that I have a tooth taken out has been to much for me and I'm just recovering. On friday I finally have the final moving, untill now we've just packed up, and the easter holidays began. What else can you ask for? I'm not on for a lot of thinking, so I leave you with three of my favourite things: stripes, daffodils an messy hair.

Bambi

Digamos que no soy una reina de la belleza. No es que me importe, al contrario, soy una persona muy feliz conmigo misma, pero sí hay cosas que veo y que pienso, jo, me encantaría tener el tipo de cara que puede lucir eso y más... No sé, cosas como pendientes grandes con el pelo corto, o una coleta muy repeinada y pegada, o el pelo pelirrojo. O como las cejas de Bambi. Nunca me han gustado las cejas hiperfinas, de hecho yo apenas me las depilo más allá de quitar pelos superfluos... No sé si a vosotras os gustan las cejas anchas, ¿os cuidáis mucho las cejas? Bueno además aprovecho para poner fotos de Bambi Northwood, que me encanta, ¡me parece que tiene mucho rollo!

Edito para decir que la foto que iba aquí me la han borrado por que a Bambi se la veían los pechos. ¡Oh Dios mío, que horror, un pecho! ¬¬ Odio la doble moral...

I am just not a beauty queen. I don't care, actually, I'm pretty happy with myself, but there are things I saw and I think, dam, I'll love to have the kind of face which can pull it of... I don¡t know, things loke big earrings with short hair, a very tight ponytail, or strawberry blonde hair. Or Bambi's eyebrows. I've never liked ultra thin eyebrows, in fact I almost don't tweeze my owns more than a few hairs... I don't know if you like bold eyebrows, you take a lot of care of yours? Well, this post is also an excuse to post Bambi Northwood pics, who I love, she's got a lot of rock going on!

Who's that girl?

Eso mismo pensé cuando vi la primera foto de esta chica. El pelo corto y platino siempre capta mi atención, incluso me atreví a llevarlo así una temporada. Además, su libertad para mezclar colores me encanta, ya que yo misma a veces no me atrevo (el sábado llevaba unos pantalones fresa con una camisa de seda verde loro y me sentía casi Carrie Bradshaw). Lo único malo es que aunque me ha parecido leer que es estilista y su nombre es Elisa Nalin, no la conozco ni a ella ni a su trabajo. A investigar se ha dicho.

That's what I thought the first time I saw a photo of this girl. The short platinum hair always catches my eye, even I dyed my own for a while. Also, I love her freedom to mix colors, because many times I don't dare to do it (last saturday I wore a pair of strawberry pink pants and a parrot green silk shirt and I felt almost like Carrie Bradshaw). The only bad thing is that even when I recall to read that she's a stylist and her name is Elisa Nalin, I don't know her or her work. Let's research!
